a photoblog of God's handiwork.

Here, kitty kitty!

While spending some time with relatives in California last week, a Bobcat (Lynx rufus) came visiting.  He was ostensibly hunting rabbits, but must not have been hungry enough to expend a large amount of energy in that pursuit. He allowed me to get an number of images before sauntering off into the hills.

    • Jim, if you find yourself heading to California, the central-coast area, let me know and I can probably get you in the right spot to find one!

He is probably too full after ridding the neighborhood of the chiuauas, tabbies and tea cup puppies. Nice photos.

    • Thanks Kathy! His neighborhood is all rural, so hunting is a little tougher for this guy than those living closer to populations. He might score the stray barn cat here or there, but I’d bet his mainstay would be mice, gophers and rabbits.
